Carecall package update

After listening to customer feedback, we have made changes to the packages we offer to make sure our customers have greater flexibility and choice.

With effect from 1st April 2019, our Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum service offers will be replaced by two main services, “Monitoring only” and “Monitoring and Falls Response” – each of which can be easily tailored to suit a person’s needs.

They work to very similar principles as the old system, but now you can add and remove sensors or extra pendants much easier as and when you need them.

What does this mean if I'm an existing customer? 

Other than the annual price change (which we wrote to you about separately) and name of your package, you should not notice any difference to the services we provide you if you are an existing customer:

  • If you were a Bronze customer beforehand, you will now receive the Monitoring only package. However, whereas before you couldn’t add additional users or sensors, now you can add these on to your package whenever you need to!
  • If you were a Silver customer beforehand, you will now receive the Monitoring and Falls Response package. This is exactly the same as Silver – but rather than having to upgrade to fixed packages such as Gold or Platinum, if you need an additional sensor in the future, you can now simply add this on to your package for £1 per week, per sensor.
  • If you were a Gold or Platinum customer beforehand, you will now receive the Monitoring and Falls Response package, but you will also be charged for whichever additional sensors you already had. You will have been sent a letter in March 2019 confirming your new weekly fee.
