Carecall serving the community during Covid-19

We want to re-assure customers that we are serving the community 24/7 during the current public health crisis.

However, the safety of you, our staff and other customers is paramount and for anyone displaying symptoms – the response we send as part of our service, will be a medical response.

To keep you updated, please see below for a daily diary from our team - including the positive change we've made.

Have a query, question or need some help? Email info@stockporthomes.org or tweet us at @carecallmonitor.

  • 19th March Update

We have worked hard to start delivering contactless installations for people within Stockport who need Carecall's services but can not have contact.

Our dedicated, professional and friendly team are working closely with new customers to provide them with an alarm unit and a pendant without coming into direct contact with them. This is achieved via phone calls and a safe co-ordinated approach that ensures a customer is safe and always at a distance from staff.

This addition to our service will not impact our 24/7 work, we are in a busy period but robust business plans are ensuring we're working well and helping to relieve the stress on the emergency services.

  • 23rd March Update

We had a fantastic morale boost in Carecall HQ today, one of our team had been doing shopping for some of her elderly neighbours in a local supermarket (Asda Ashton). Some people in store knew she worked for Carecall and so, as she went to leave the supermarket, they surprised her with a bunch of flowers as a thank you for everything she is doing for the community.

Our team do what they do out of a desire to help people stay independent but knowing others appreciate it too, that really put an extra big smile on everyone's faces today.

The team member in question gave the flowers to her neighbour, who is 91 – and they really made her day too!!

It’s all these little acts of kindness that really mean a lot at this difficult time, so a big thanks to the people who started a chain of happiness from this one act.

In even in uncertain times, there's always a reason to smile.
