For this competition, we're asking people to submit ideas for a new technology that could help older or vulnerable people in their homes. No idea is off the table! Your idea could be anything; a flying saucer that helps deliver drinks so people aren’t dehydrated or an app that tracks movement, feeding information back to their loved ones.
This competition is for under 16s!
How to enter
Ideas can come in any format, whether it's via drawings, paintings, written down ideas, or ANY other format. Parents or guardians can enter on behalf of children by emailing the entry as an attachment to the body of an email sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, please put the email headline as 'Stockport Frogs Care Comp'. Entries will be accepted between 26th July 2021, up until midnight on September 25th!
Why are we doing this?
Giant multi-coloured frogs have once again hopped into Stockport for a summer art trail, as the local telemonitoring and response service that helps the people of Stockport live well at home, we have sponsored the ‘Dr.Frog’ sculpture and will use this as an opportunity to raise awareness with local children about the importance of independent living for older and vulnerable people – an issue which has become more apparent since the pandemic began.
At Carecall, we are proud throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to have helped 1000s of local residents stay in their homes, reducing the impact on emergency services and care homes.
Thank you to Tunstall Healthcare for providing the prize, Tunstall pioneered the use of technology to support those requiring care & health intervention to live independently in their homes, Tunstall provides the technology that Carecall uses to help the people of Stockport.
