Carecall joins groundbreaking trial to support telecare users through Digital Switchover

We are proud to have been involved in a first-of-its-kind partnership with Virgin Media O2 and the TSA and Stockport Homes, designed to enhance support for telecare users as the UK transitions to Digital Voice services. This collaboration is part of a broader initiative to ensure that vulnerable individuals, including those who rely on Carecall services, continue to receive uninterrupted care throughout the digital switchover.

As part of this trial, which began in July, telecare customers are receiving enhanced support to guarantee their telecare devices remain operational when switching to the new landline technology. The trial has achieved an impressive 95% voluntary switch rate, with all users being closely monitored post-migration to ensure their services work seamlessly.

This pilot could serve as a model for a nationwide rollout, with other housing associations and local authorities expected to follow Stockport Homes' lead in creating data-sharing agreements and enhancing customer support.
